D.C.’s hard partying libertarians over at Reason Magazine were kind enough to invite me to participate in a short round table about Super Tuesday this afternoon. Apparently they had no idea that I know hardly anything about national politics, but hey, they have an open bar over here and a bunch of fancy flat screens in their chic Dupont offices on which to watch the returns come in, so who cares? You can check out the video, which also features Eric Pfeiffer of CQpolitics.com, Michael Moynihan of Reason, and moderator Nick Gillespie of reason.tv, over here. And stay tuned for the possibility of semi-tipsy Super Tuesday live blogging from the seedy underbelly of the political third dimension.

UPDATE 9:17 p.m.: OK, so no major surprises so far, with the lone potentially interesting development being Oklahoma. We’ve fled Reason momentarily while the internet is down there, and taken refuge in a Dupont area Starbucks. Here’s what CNN is projecting as of right now:

UPDATE 10:10 p.m.: More states added to each candidate’s list below:

UPDATE 11:30 p.m.: It’s getting to be a bit late, so we’ll just update the latest states and get the rest in the morning.

New York, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Arizona are going to Clinton.

Illinois, Georgia, Delaware, North Dakota, Alabama, Kansas, Connecticut, Minnesota, Idaho, Utah and Colorado have been called for Obama.

McCain is the winner in Connecticut, Illinois, Delaware, New Jersey, Oklahoma and Arizona.

Romney has won Massachusetts, Utah, North Dakota and Minnestota.

Mike Huckabee is the winner in Arkansas and Georgia.

The delegate count currently stands at 299 for Clinton and 225 for Obama on the Democratic side, and 383 for McCain, 135 for Romney, 54 for Mike Huckabee and 6 for Ron Paul on the Republican side.

Here’s a few good places to check in on up to the minute results:

UPDATE 11:58 p.m.: OK, one more update. Just had to post the image of all those Salon.com caricatures. Poor Mike Huckabee can’t get any respect! What’s the point of losing all that weight and running for president if you can’t get a flattering online cartoon version of yourself? Also, obviously Salon’s delegate count differs considerably right now with CNN’s.
