Daylight Saving Time begins again this weekend. We’ll all be “springing forward” an hour at precisely 2 a.m. early Sunday morning, and that means one less hour of drinking time at area bars when you head out on Saturday night, and one less hour of Metro service.

Metro officials are reminding customers that when the clocks are moved ahead one hour, it will suddenly be 3 a.m., and Metro will close for the night.

Those of you with big drinking plans on Saturday night would do well to write a handy reminder of this fact on your hand with a permanent marker. We’re imagining a lot angry drunks trying to ride Metro home after the clocks change.
