MUSIC: Amnesty International and the Hip-Hop Caucus are hosting the “We Care Concert” in effort to bring hip-hop fans out for the dual causes of protesting the war in Iraq and the Bush administration’s response to Hurricane Katrina. Wise Intelligent, Head-Roc, Saigon, Mambo Sauce and Mia X all play at the 9:30 Club, 7:30 doors, $15.

READING: New America Foundation Senior Fellow Parag Khanna will be at Politics and Prose to talk about his book, The Second World, which examines the new global order and the roles the United States will and will not play in the future. 7 p.m.
