DCist is once again teaming up with Cultural Tourism DC to sponsor a Flickr photo contest for their twice yearly WalkingTown DC event. This year’s spring WalkingTown will be held on April 26 and 27, and will feature even more fantastic free walking tours of D.C. than ever before. All you have to do to enter the photo contest is check out the schedule of free tours and pick one or more to attend, take some great photos, and then upload them to Flickr and tag them with WalkingTown and DCist. More details on the contest, which last fall earned several lucky winners prize packages from Cultural Tourism DC, are below.

Here’s the Deal:
* All photographs should be taken on a WalkingTown, DC tour.
* Shots should feature tour guides, tour walkers, neighborhoods, and/or points of interest. Images should include WalkingTown, DC participants and/or tour guides.
* Photos should be uploaded to Flickr.com and tagged WalkingTown and DCist.
* Need inspiration? Check out our winners from WalkingTown, DC Fall Edition 2007.

The Rules:
* Deadline for submission is May 12.
* A maximum of six photographs per person may be submitted.
* Contestants should email info@CulturalTourismDC.org to notify us that photographs have been submitted and which tours were photographed. The email should include the contestant’s name, Flickr name, address, telephone number, and email address (this information will be used to contact contestants only). Please specify at which tours your photos were taken.
* Criteria for selection include: the degree to which the image illustrates what WalkingTown, DC is about; captures the true spirit of Washington’s neighborhoods; and originality.

Awards:
* Prizes from CTdc members will be awarded for the top three photographs.
* The top three photographs will be highlighted with credit on DCist in May or June 2008.
* The top three photographs will be highlighted with credit on CulturalTourismDC.org in May or June 2008.
