MUSIC: Mark Eitzel and Vudi are all that remains of the original American Music Club line-up, but they’re out touring again with a new album, The Golden Age, and reviews from earlier concerts indicate they’re playing a healthy mix of all the songs you want to hear, plus a few new ones. With Seth Rothschild (of Gingersol/Quarry Hill) at Iota, 8:30 p.m., $15, probably a good idea to get there early.
MOVIE: Have you seen The Shawshank Redemption about 25 times, but usually only catch the last half when you stumble on the middle of its seemingly incessant loop on TNT? Watch the whole thing from the beginning tonight at the American City Diner, 8:30 p.m.
FOOD & DRINK: Don’t forget to go get your free Ben and Jerry’s ice cream cone, available at all of their stores until 8 p.m.
READING: Michael T. Klare, defense correspondent for the Nation and a Five Colleges professor of peace and world security studies, will be at Politics and Prose to talk about his book, Rising Powers, Shrinking Planet. 7 p.m.
