Metro Worker Sex Sting: The Examiner reports that a Metro station manager and a Metro custodian were arrested on prostitution charges after an undercover transit police investigation found they arranged hookers for people from inside the Dupont Circle Metro station. Police first became suspicious of the station manager, Sharon Waters, after they found fliers advertising sex trips with Waters’ name, email and phone number printed on them. The other woman is believed to have been one of Waters’ prostitutes, and has since been fired after police found stolen merchandise on her at the time of her arrest. Waters is on administrative leave.

Eleanor Holmes Norton called for a review of the U.S. Capitol Police decision to dismiss one-fourth of the department’s most recent group of recruits, who were hired despite failing criminal background or other employment checks. Norton has expressed concern that the department treated the fired recruits unfairly, since many of them quit other jobs and had already completed half of their training.
