Tuesday:
>> Today marks three years since the death of hip-hop super producer J. Dilla and some of D.C.’s hip-hop elite will be celebrating his memory while also toasting one of their own. “Dilla’s Nite” will double as a birthday bash for local producer extraordinaire Kev Brown with Grap Luva hosting and DJs Roddy Rod, 2-Tone Jones, and Jon Laine at the Red Lounge. $7, 9 p.m.

Wednesday:
>> Throwback soul duo Peaches & Herb will be at Blues Alley for two shows. $37.75 +$12.50 per person, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Thursday:
>> The man responsible for the classic track “Looking At The Front Door” and debuting Nas will be taking part in Bohemian Caverns weekly “Sound of the City” party. DJ/Producer/MC Large Professor (pictured) will be on stage to perform his vintage material as well as new cuts from his recently released album, Main Source. $12 in advance/$15 at the door, 8 p.m.

Friday:
>> Three Stars alum Flex Mathews wil be hosting the “Black Mongoose” open mic at Chief Ike’s. Free, 7 p.m.

>> He hasn’t put out a solo album since 2001 but Bilal is still a highly sought-after performer. He’ll be at Liv for fast selling shows. $25 at the door, 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.

>> Soul heiress Lalah Hathaway will be at Constitution Hall with Rahsaan Patterson for a Valentine’s Day show. $65, 8 p.m.

Monday:
>> Singer/songwriter Angie Stone will be at the Birchmere covering material from her career, which dates back to the early 1980s. $59.50, 7:30 p.m.
