It’s a religious time of year. Ash Wednesday, Holi, and Purim were all a few days ago, and so was St. Pat’s, though that’s not very religious these days — other than “Oh God, I’m hung over.” D.C. isn’t often thought of as a religious city, but that doesn’t mean people don’t think about it.

Girl 1: “What are you giving up for Lent?”
Girl 2: “Being Catholic.”
