Photo by erin*carlyDDOT is reporting a power outage that is affecting traffic signal operations in Northeast D.C. The following traffic signals are not working as of 10:35 a.m.:
- 6th Street, C Street and Maryland Avenue NE
- 11th Street and Maryland Avenue NE
- 12th Street and Maryland Avenue NE
- East Capitol Street, 11th Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE
- 8th Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE
There’s also a reported signal outage at 9th Street and Constitution Avenue NW.
Expect traffic delays in these areas while traffic control officers direct motorists through the intersections. Pepco’s outage map shows that over 2800 customers are without power in Northeast, with repairs currently estimated to take all day and into the night.
