One show that we’re interested in tonight is Flying to America, by poet Luther Jett, about boy on a journey in search of a lost America. The 60-minute play is ideal for all you night owls out there; it starts at 10:30 p.m. at Warehouse (1021 7th Street NW). Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door or online. Don’t forget your Fringe Button.

TALK: Hear RAND analyst and author of In the Graveyard of Empires: America’s War in Afghanistan, Seth G. Jones, speak on his examination of the current Taliban resurgence through the scope of ineffectual U.S. military operations, and how every world power which has invaded Afghanistan has suffered disastrous defeat. The book talk is free tonight at 7 p.m. at Politics and Prose.
ART: Missed seeing your favorite local artist at Artomatic? Head to the Hillyer Art Space this evening to view Six in the Mix: Selections by Renee Stout for free. The exhibit presents pieces by six area artists, all with different styles. Stout’s curation does not have a central theme; rather individual pieces have been selected that create a dialog between themselves (and of course the viewer). Make sure to arrive at the Hillyer Art Space (9 Hillyer Court NW) before it closes at 7 p.m. tonight.
