MOVIE: If you feel like hanging out outside and participating in water bowling, a costume contest, and other activities over a White Russian, head to the Capitol Skyline’s pool for a screening of a the oft-quoted cult classic, The Big Lebowski, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12, must be over 21 to attend.

THEATER: There’s very little time left for the Capital Fringe Festival, so consider taking in a Fringe show tonight (and check in with all our most recent reviews here). One solid option, Bad Hamlet, puts up its final show tonight and is sure to impress you, just as it did us. See how playwright/ producer John Geoffrion incorporates a First Folio version and an earlier version attributed to 1603 performed simultaneously. Bad Hamlet is $15 with your $5 Fringe Festival button at Bodega at the Trading Post (1013 7th St. NW) at 7 p.m.

MOVIE: Catch a variety of short films tonight on topics such as religious freedom, racial justice, and human rights, all part of Campus Progress’s Media That Matters Film Festival. The festival aims to provide an outlet for progressivism focused on youth activists, advocates, artists and journalists. The films are free tonight at the Landmark E Street Cinema from 7-9 p.m. Click here to RSVP, as space is limited.

MUSIC: Two beautiful voices with smooth melodies, Alison Carney and Terrence Cunningham, are performing at Bohemian Caverns tonight as part of the “Rhythm n’ Soul” series, starting at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 or $15 at the door.

MOVIE: Adams Morgan bar Asylum has recently started showing films, and tonight they’re playing The Royal Tenenbaums at 8 p.m. as part of their free Wes Anderson Film Series.

MUSIC: Toots and the Maytals are well into their 60s by now, but still going strong, and tonight they’re at the 9:30 Club. Baltimore’s Ballyhoo opens. $26, 8 p.m.
