Tonight’s show features sahraoui music, which combines dance, poetry, and songs unique to the Ahouach and Hassani tribes from Assa, Morocco. >> While not as well known as his legendary brother, Nat “King” Cole, pianist/vocalist Freddy Cole is a respected and accomplished musician who has been on the scene since the 1950s. Cole will be playing 8 and 10 p.m. sets from Thursday through Sunday at Blues Alley. Tickets are $25 + $12.50 minimum/surcharge.

>> Allyn Johnson is one of the area’s first rate pianists, and is probably best known for his work as director of UDC’s jazz program or with Three Stars alums The Young Lions. He leads his other group, Divine Order, this Friday and Saturday at Bohemian Caverns. The lineup varies, and can include strings and chorus. Tickets to the 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. sets are $15.
