MUSIC: Members of the U.S. Air Force Chamber Players (featuring violist Sgt. Tyler Sieh and pianist Jessica Stitt) appear for free tonight on the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, playing sonatas for viola and piano by Johannes Brahms and Rebecca Clarke. 6 p.m.

Psychedelic pop purveyors Thee Oh Sees are at the Black Cat‘s backstage for a show tonight, in what seems like the makings of a fine end-of-the-holiday-weekend concert option. Brooklyn’s Golden Triangle also play. 9 p.m., $10.

MOVIES: Director Jennifer Baichwal will be on hand for a filmmaker Q&A at the AFI Silver tonight after a screening of her new documentary, Act of God. The film explores the experiences of those few individuals who overcame one of the English language’s most popular probability-related clichés: they were actually struck by lightning. View the trailer here. 7:20 p.m.

Or head over to the Arlington Cinema ‘N’ Drafthouse for their regular $1 Monday movie night. Tonight’s cheap offerings include Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at 6:45 p.m., or The Hangover at 9:50 p.m.
