Good morning, Washington. Sick of the Salahis yet? Of course you are. But the folks at the Post haven’t noticed, or at least don’t care. Today’s installment of their full-court press on Gatecrashergate: the Salahis’ charity polo match foundation thing is a scam, or something? To be honest, I couldn’t bring myself to read past the first page. Maybe you’ll have better luck.

Club Owner Convicted: The Examiner writes the professional obituary of Abdul Khanu, former D.C. nightclub impresario and newly convicted tax cheat. The man behind Platinum, H20 and VIP, Khanu ran into regulatory trouble over underage patrons and violence connected to his clubs, leading to the loss of liquor licenses and the businesses’ closure, even before Khanu’s financial misdeeds came to light. He faces up to ten years in prison for the two counts of income tax evasion of which he was convicted.

Guards Arrested for Smuggling: The Post reports that three people, two of them guards, have been arrested for accepting bribes to sneak cell phones and iPods into the city’s Correction Treatment Facility. The arrests appear to be the product of FBI stings. The going rate for getting contraband electronics to an incarcerated loved one? About $300, apparently.

Suspects Held in Rawlings Murder: Two of the three suspects identified in connection with the killing of George Rawlings have been ordered held until trial by a judge, according to the Post. Rawlings — the older brother of DeOnte Rawlings, who was killed by an off-duty officer in 2007 — was shot as be boarded a Metrobus at 14th and H NE on the morning of Nov. 11.

Briefly Noted: Five-car accident snarls traffic on I-66 East… Two men shot, one fatally, during attempted carjacking in SE… Boater rescued from Chesapeake Bay… More antique chemical munitions removed from Spring Valley… Kaine indicates that some tax breaks are likely to be repealed to deal with budget shortfall… Northern Virginia priest arrested for assaulting another priest… More cuts to Newseum staff…

This Day In DCist: One year ago bars were on their way to getting a temporarily later last call for the inauguration, and Nats fans got a Circulator route.
