WTTG/FOX5 reminds us that it’s been a year since Durval Martins was shot dead at the corner of 11th and Q streets NW, and police still have no ideas about who is responsible.

Martins, 35, was killed at about 3 a.m. as he was walking home from 17th Street bar Fox & Hounds. His wallet was found in his hand, and his cash, cell phone, and jewelry were not taken. While police say they suspect the killing was the result of a botched robbery, there’s also been speculation that it could have been a hate crime, because Martins was gay.

D.C. police have upped the reward to $50,000 for information leading to an arrest, and say they are still looking to identify two people seen near the skate park around the time of the murder.
