GAMES: The Rock and Roll Hotel opens its newest weekly event, free Monday Ping Pong tables, tonight from 6-10 p.m. Tables are available on a first-come-first-serve basis every Monday in January. Next month, they plan on arranging tournaments. Get some friends together and start practicing now.

MOVIES: The Black Cat is hosting a week of movies and drink specials. Each night is curated by the bartender on duty, and tonight it’s a double feature of the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer plus the Coreys classic The Lost Boys. The vampire-themed backstage films are paired with $5 Bloody Marys. Free, 8:30 p.m.

Another solid double-feature at the Arlington Cinema ‘N’ Drafthouse‘s Dollar Movie Monday: Where the Wild Things Are and Pirate Radio, two recent films I meant to see but never did! WTWTA starts at 7:30 p.m., followed by PR at 9:50 p.m.

JAZZ: Blues Alley hosts R&B/soul artist Lahla-Hadiya for two sets at 8 and 10 p.m. Tickets are $18, plus a $10 minimum.
