Rockville’s Collin McKenzie-Gude, the young man who pleaded guilty last year to possessing bomb-making chemicals, was sentenced to five years in prison today, the Post is reporting. Among other allegations against McKenzie-Gude, prosecutors alleged the chemicals, an arsenal of firearms and a map of Camp David found among his possessions were part of a planned attempt to assassinate President Barack Obama.
Today’s sentence amounts to 61 months in prison (minus the 17 months McKenzie-Gude has already served), but does not include any still-to-come sentence from state Circuit Court for an attempted carjacking.
