Evidently the right-to-life or anti-choice movement is made up of cute young people and cranky-looking old men. Oh, and toddlers. Toddlers are not pleased. Shown below are just a couple of the toddlers who descended on the District yesterday, marching to the Capitol with slogan-bearing signs and parental units in tow.
Yesterday was the 37th anniversary of everyone’s favorite Supreme Court decision, Roe v. Wade. That flinty case established a precedent cherished by sex-having people everywhere — or ensconced in U.S. law a second holocaust, take your pick. The Washington Post described this year’s march as a “gigantic pep rally” and they are soooo going to get bombed for that. True enough, besides some grizzled old men — and c’mon, what is their stake in this, really — the Post’s description of “smiling teenagers in matching scarves or sweat shirts holding school banners high” is pretty accurate.
Enjoy some pictures of smiling teenagers in matching scarves or sweat shirts holding school banners high, from the DCist pool. Some aren’t so much smiling as mouthtaped, but you get the drift.
