Photo by Sanjay SuchakThere’s more track maintenance work planned on the Red Line this weekend, in that same section between Medical Center and Grosvenor-Strathmore that has been a headache for a while now. WMATA wants to remind customers along this part of the Red Line to add at least 20 minutes to their travel time this weekend, starting at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, through to closing on Sunday, Jan. 31.
In an effort to keep things moving, every other Red Line train this weekend traveling toward Shady Grove will terminate at Friendship Heights then return to Glenmont.
