Photo by Tony DeFilippoIn another late-breaking administrative announcement, D.C. Public Schools says that all D.C. public schools will in fact close tomorrow. Earlier this evening, DCPS had said that schools would open 2 hours late and administrative offices would open 1 hour late, prompting quick criticism. Now, schools will open 0 hours at all on Monday (though admin offices will still open).
Schools in Montgomery County will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Prince George’s schools will be closed tomorrow. Schools will be closed in Arlington, Fairfax, and Prince William Counties on Monday. Loudoun County is giving its kids two days off.
At this point, it’s looking like the only thing that will be open on Monday is the District government. However, Mayor Adrian Fenty has announced that D.C. government offices will open an hour later tomorrow morning. Have another beer, bureaucrats, and enjoy the rest of the fourth quarter!
