Mere hours after WMATA announced it had finally gotten every single Metrorail station reopened, the transit system has indicated it will be going back to underground-only service on Wednesday. Trains will arrive every 24 to 30 minutes, and the system will open on time, at 5 a.m.

There will also be no Metrobus nor MetroAccess service tomorrow.

For tonight, the full Metro system remains open, but we’ll continue to monitor if things change before closing time. More details on the Wednesday schedule are here.
