“[It’s] unlikely to be a crippling storm” — broadly stated but still very comforting words to read from the Capital Weather Gang, who says that while we will likely get a couple more inches of snow tomorrow, it may be balanced with some rain and will be considerably less of an issue than the recent snowfalls we’re still digging out of. The Alberta clipper (seen at right via satellite) that will move in from west of D.C. should finish its business late tomorrow. Frankly, we’re a little more dismayed about the cold, blustery burst that’s scheduled to hit on Tuesday and Wednesday, which will certainly make efforts to clear those big piles of snow from roads and sidewalks an even more miserable experience.
Speaking of which, DDOT crews are making their way around major roadways — today, they are asking motorists to not park on Connecticut Avenue NW, so that snow hauling crews can move around, unfettered. If you’re parked there, tow trucks may move your car to a nearby side street — DDOT says if your car was moved, you should call them at 202-576-6071.
