The D.C. government kicked off its second annual “Potholepalooza” today, a yearly effort to tackle the post-winter potholes that inevitably plague District roads once temperatures start to rise.

The campaign lasts one month, during which time the District Department of Transportation aims to repair identified potholes within 48 hours (normally they promise 72 hours). Last year, DDOT says it managed to fill more than 6,000 potholes between March 11 to April 11.

Now through April 5, D.C. residents and commuters are asked to report potholes either by phone (call 311), twitter (@DDOTDC), email (Potholepalooza@DC.Gov) or online request (click here).

You’ll also be able to track the number of potholes filled on DDOT’s new web site.
