The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus is back in town (this year’s show is titled Zing Zang Zoom, and is at the Verizon Center March 18 to 21), and with it comes the annual Elephant Walk. The parade is set to start this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from Garfield Park, make its way north on 3rd Street and cut over to the Verizon Center. This year’s route for the animal walk has changed somewhat:
*Start on Virginia Ave. S.E. (By Garfield Park)
*Northwest on Washington Ave. S.W.
*West on Independence Ave. S.W.
*North on 3rd St. S.W./N.W.
*West on G St. N.W.
*North on 6th Street to the loading dock of the Verizon Center.
