Tourists are here, yeah, whatever. They contribute money to the economy and are annoying on the Metro, that’s a given. We’re used to dumb behavior and lame questions. But sometimes…

Overheard of the Week

On the Blue line, just before the National Airport stop:

Tourist son: “So what is the big deal with the cherry blossoms?”
Tourist mom: “Well, the cherry trees were given to us as a gift from the government of Japan to repay us for bombing Pearl Harbor… because at the time, they couldn’t afford real money.”

After the jump, really fun bar games, low self esteem, and clever insults.
