Here I am, preparing myself to cover tonight’s D.C./Chicago tilt at RFK Stadium, when I notice that President Barack Obama has already taken in a soccer game this afternoon in the District. NBCWashington.com has images of Obama enjoying some quality time watching his oldest daughter Malia play the beautiful game at Rudolph Field on Hamilton Street NW between 2nd and 3rd Streets. (The motorbiker who ran into a police car at the end of the Obama motorcade on Gallatin Street NW likely didn’t enjoy his afternoon as much as the Commander-in-Chief did.) But considering Obama’s obvious love of soccer, it begs the question: exactly when will the President be sauntering over to RFK Stadium for a match, anyway? I mean, based on today’s images, it’s obvious that the Prez has already got the all-black digs preferred by serious United home supporters down pat.
