A Bill Extending D.C.’s Lease On RFK Site Advanced In The House. Is The Drive For A New Stadium Nearing The End Zone?
On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee passed legislation that would give D.C. the power to redevelop the RFK Stadium site–and potentially lure the Commanders back to the District.
Organizers Adobo DMV and Broccoli City said ticketholders will be refunded and they may still host other events over the May 6 weekend.
Seven of the 13 members on the D.C. Council signed a letter insisting the dilapidated 190-acre site be redeveloped for more housing, public green spaces and new retail.
