Feel passionately about how the District handled the record breaking snowfall this winter? Well, the D.C. Dept. of Transportation is inviting folks to provide feedback on their efforts in an online chat with Director Gabe Klein Friday afternoon.

DDOT holds online forums on a variety of topics, but this will be the first one reviewing the winter storms.

Spokesperson John Lisle said DDOT has been reviewing various aspects of the city’s response to the storm since February, but this forum is to ensure they haven’t missed anything.

As you might have guessed, they’ve already received a lot of feedback from residents, and much of it has been negative.

“With something like snow removal, you are more likely to hear from the people who are disgruntled, whose street hasn’t been plowed for whatever reason. Far fewer speak up to say their streets *were* plowed. That’s just the way it is with snow removal,” Lisle said Wednesday.

Don’t let your voice go unheard. The live forum is set for Friday, April 23, from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on the departments website — ddot.dc.gov/livechat and on Twitter (use the hashtag “#snowchat”).
