Starting this Friday, D.C.’s LGBT weekly newspaper will once again be called the Washington Blade, the Post is reporting.

The Blade as we knew it ceased to exist in November, after it was abruptly sold and shuttered along with several other gay weekly titles across the country. But staffers of the former Blade quickly regrouped and began publishing the DC Agenda, headed up by editor Kevin Naff and publisher Lynne Brown. Since then, the Agenda was able to purchase the rights to the Washington Blade name, copyright, trademark, and archives, and starting this week, the Agenda will go back to being called the Blade. The newspaper plans to keep the name “DC Agenda” as the title of its arts and entertainment section, according to the Post.

Keep an eye out for the new Washington Blade at newsstands this Friday.
