Chardonnay, a popular (though sometimes looked down upon) white wine go-to, gets its night to shine with The Wine Guys wine tasting at Borders (18th and L NW) tonight, 6:30-7:30 p.m. A selection of Chardonnays from California, France, Australia, and elsewhere will be set up for sampling, comparing, and appreciating.

GAMES: The Reef (2446 18th St. NW) double dog dares you to reach back into your childhood and revive your slot car racing skills. At 5 p.m. tonight the races begin (along with $3 High Life and PBR beers). Bring your own slot car, or borrow one of The Reef’s. Participating in the race is free.
