FOOD & DRINK: Birch & Barley (1337 14th St. NW) is hosting a five-course, eight-beer Mikkeller Beer Dinner with Brewer Mikkel Borg Bjergsø tonight. The $76 per person event (plus tax and tip) includes a crawfish salad, pan seared trout, rump roast, a selection of cheeses, and finishes with a maple mousse. Each course is paired with a Mikkeller Beer (or in the case of the cheese course, three Mikkeller selections), which Mikkel Borg Bjergsø will discuss throughout the meal. CLASSICAL: Composer John Adams brings his “Perspectives” series of concerts to the Kennedy Center tonight with a performance of his Chamber Symphony and Shaker Loops by members of the National Symphony Orchestra, as well as selected conservatory students. 6 p.m., free, Kennedy Center Terrace Theater.
The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop features the Vocal Arts Society’s Art Song Discovery series tonight with performances by sopranos Jennifer Edwards and Aundi Marie Moore and pianist R. Timothy McReynolds. Free, 7 p.m.
