Tallula’s dining room in Arlington

Several years and several chefs ago, DCist told you about the excellent brunch options at Tallula. Since then, the restaurant has gone through numerous changes, and its parent company, Neighborhood Restaurant Group, has expanded its reach from Virginia into the District with Birch & Barley/ChurchKey. But with all the change, Tallula and its neighbor EatBar continue to be a destination for great food and drink.

This weekend DCist was invited to try out Chef Barry Koslow’s new spring brunch menu. From classics like Eggs Benedict and house-smoked salmon to Nutella-glazed donuts and a braised pork roulade with cheddar grits, Tallula cements its status as a brunch destination. The blend of elegance and comfort in each dish makes this far more than a greasy plate of eggs and bacon.

In addition to brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, Tallula/EatBar also hosts wine tastings every Saturday afternoon from 3-5 p.m. in the wine room. For $10, guests can sample tastes from Tallula/EatBar’s extensive wine selection.
