Hundreds of cyclists will hit the streets of the District and Virginia tomorrow as part of Bike DC 2010, a nearly 20-mile scenic, car-free trek. As part of the event, Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 7th and 14th Streets will be closed to motorized traffic Sunday between 7 and 10:30 a.m., and several other roads will certainly be filled with riders at various points throughout the morning and afternoon. A map of the entire route can be found above — anyone taking to the street with a vehicle between 5:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. should proceed with extra caution behind the wheel.

Several WMATA buses will also be rerouted due to the event:

Routes 3A, 3E, 5A, 7A, 13F, 13G, 16G, 16K, 23A, 32, 34, 36, 38B, 54, 64, 70, 80, A42, A44, A46, D6, P6, S2, S4 and V8 will detour at various times from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday around 15th Street, N.W., between Constitution and Pennsylvania avenues due to Bike D.C. 2010. The event will also force Metrobus detours around Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., between 7th and 14th streets.
