Does Chef Sam Kass get your vote? Photo from Bravo. If Top Chef‘s Week 2 challenge winners demonstrated anything, it’s that the first few weeks of the competition are totally up for grabs. We saw the end of Angelo Sosa’s winning streak, as 82 percent of our poll respondents accurately predicted. Pride always comes before a fall, but not before he was the co-winner of the Quickfire challenge with fellow cheftestant Tracey Bloom. Tracey received no votes in last week’s poll, so one has to wonder if she was just riding on Angelo’s coat tails or is a legitimate challenger.
It was Angelo’s failures in the main challenge that also brought down our poll’s most popular cheftestant, Kenny Gilbert, who had received a third of the votes compared to Angelo’s 25 percent.
In a stunner, Lynne Gigliotti Kelly Liken won the main challenge, despite garnering only one vote in our poll. Does this mean Liken’s stock is rising — or was she just lucky?
Aside from finding out who you think the next Top Chef is, we want to know what you think of assistant White House chef Sam Kass. By all accounts, he is extremely popular in the blogosphere — City Paper’s Tim Carman summed up all the salacious comments, noting a few detractors. Should the Secret Service be working harder to protect Kass from the locals? Check out our polls after the jump.
