FRINGE: The Capital Fringe Festival begins tonight and runs through July 25th. Tonight’s selections include comedy, theater, dance and more. One option, where your votes create the show, is The Washington Rogue’s presentation of Eight, taking place at Redrum at Fort Fringe (612 L Street NW). 6 p.m. Tickets $15.

ART: Use all your senses (that’s touch, taste, sight, smell, and sound, in case you forgot) to interpret the artwork at Sensory Overload at the Corcoran Gallery of Art (500 17th Street NW) tonight. A reception for the exhibit runs from 5-7 p.m. Free.

FORT RENO: The Fort Reno continues tonight with some great local talent. Check out Tereu Tereu, Police & Thieves, and Authorization. 7 p.m., free.

MUSIC:The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performs the musical score from BBC/Discovery’s Planet Earth series while footage of animal behavior is projected above the stage in a concert tonight at the Music Center at the Strathmore (5301 Tuckerman Lane, North Bethesda). 8 p.m., tickets range from $18.50 to $62.

MOVIES: The Capitol River Front outdoor “Ultimate Underdog” film fest continues at Canal Park (200 M Street SE) tonight with, like, oh my god, Legally Blonde. Come hungry and grab dinner at the Capitol Riverfront Farmers Market (New Jersey Avenue and M Street SE), open 3-7 p.m., beforehand, or catch SweetGreen or Dangerously Delicious Pies on site. Free, the movie starts at 8:45 p.m.

JAZZ: Marcus Johnson brings his smooth jazz stylings to Blues Alley (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW) tonight with sets at 8 and 10 p.m. Tickets are $27.50 plus $12.50 minimum/surcharge.

FUNDRAISER: Duffy’s Irish Pub (2106 Vermont Avenue NW) is hosting a Columbia Heights Day Fundraiser tonight. Buy a $5 cup and get $2 Miller Lite and Bud Light beers all night. 7-11 p.m.
