The 13th and G Streets NW entrance to the Metro Center Metro station has been temporarily closed due to a suspicious package. Several streets (namely, 13th Street between F and H Streets NW and G Street between 12th and 14th Street NW) have been cordoned off in the proximity. Rail service has not been affected by the disruption, but riders should use alternate stations, if possible. Police are currently investigating; we’ll keep you updated when we hear more information. UPDATE: Everything’s all clear. The Metro entrance and surrounding streets should reopen shortly, according to D.C. Fire and EMS.
