Photo by BrianMKA It’s official, Saturday marked the hottest July 24 in the D.C. area, sincepreviously set in 1987. But don’t feel bad for yourself, 1987, you still brought us many other hot icons such as the silver screen’s hottest couple: Corey Feldman and Corey Haim.
The previous, and curiously low, record high of 96, measured at Reagan National (DCA), was shattered at all the major, local airports. DCA just touched 100, as did BWI, while Dulles reached 98. Throw in the humidity, and heat indices came close to 110.
Today should be a bit more bearable, just a bit. The Capital Weather Gang is expecting sub-100 degree temperatures through the afternoon, with a chance of evening showers to cool down the air. But once again The National Weather Service has put out an Excessive Heat Warning for the area, so try to stay inside, stay hydrated and stay 80’s with The Lost Boys.
