UPDATE (4:13 p.m.): The station has reopened, according to Metro. WMATA reports that the Friendship Heights station on the Red Line is temporarily closed due to a power outage. Shuttle buses are running from the Tenleytown station. There’s no word on whether or not the outage is due to the heavy thunderstorms that rolled through the region a short time ago.
