Commuting! It’s the best.

Whether you just missed your bus and another doesn’t come for 20 minutes (and then it starts to rain), or you have to jam yourself on a Metro train full of people who don’t want to move back for no good reason, or you’re stuck on the Beltway for hours thanks to nothing you can see, it’s a burden for us all. And sometimes people who don’t do it every day can break it down.

At the Dupont Circle Metro during the peak of evening rush hour:

A group of high-school girls watching are outside the escalator.

Girl to the rest of her group: “Why does everybody look so upset?”
