In a long overdue upgrade, WMATA is rolling out a new version of its in-station maps that depict the area around each stations. The new maps depict a lot more information than the previous iteration — for instance, on-street bike lanes are included. According to Metro, bus information “will be overlaid onto the maps, so it can be easily updated when bus service changes,” which actually sounds pretty cool. The new maps also color-code different buildings, an interesting touch.

Every station in the system is scheduled to have the new maps by mid-August — Metro Center’s is below.
