Red Line riders experienced backups at Judiciary Square this morning due to a suspicious package that was found at the headquarters of the Metropolitan Police Department, located a block away from the station at 300 Indiana Avenue NW. Bomb-sniffing dogs were on the scene at the station, but the package was eventually determined to be non-theatening. The F Street entrance to the station remained open during the police investigation, but only one up escalator was in service at that exit, adding to the long lines. The 4th Street entrance has now reopened.
