Plenty of exciting news for those who live and play around the 14th Street corridor this afternoon. First, Peregrine Espresso announced on its blog that they have signed a lease on the storefront at 1718 14th Street NW. It’ll be months before Peregrine opens up shop there, but caffeine fiends will certainly be jumping for joy at yet another high quality coffee joint in the area. Additionally, Chris Richards reports in the Post’s Click Track blog that the Clyde’s Restaurant Group has plans to open a 15,000-square-foot nightclub in the enormous space they are taking over from Borders at 14th and F Streets NW. The space will be a “‘more adult’ music club with a general focus on singer-songwriters” and book live acts.
