The performance will feature Al Jarreau and George Duke as headliners, while monster bassist Marcus Miller will lead a band in re-creating Tutu, a classic from Davis’s late period. >> Vocalist Hilary Kole is currently touring in support of her latest album, You Are There, a collection of duets with some of the jazz world’s great pianists. Celebrating the end of Lester Young‘s Centennial, the ensemble’s repertoire includes music from Young, Gerry Mulligan, and Lee Konitz. The band will perform on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Smithsonian American Art Museum‘s Kogod Courtyard as part of its Take Five series. Free.
