A Metrobus was involved in an accident with an SUV at the intersection of Florida Avenue and 7th Street NE this afternoon. Florida Avenue NE has been closed in both directions to traffic. According to NBCWashington.com, a preliminary investigation showed that the SUV backed into the bus. The collision did cause several injuries to people in the bus, including some moderate, non-life-threatening injuries to a child; the driver reportedly refused medical transport.
