Though they met for almost 90 minutes, if anything came out of the long-awaited sit-down between D.C. Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee and presumptive Mayor-elect Vince Gray, neither of them are talking about it.

Reporters camped out at the Wilson Building could only report that Gray didn’t ask Rhee to resign, nor did she offer to step down. Both the Post’s Tim Craig and Bill Turque tweeted that Rhee emerged from the meeting looking unhappy, which will surely fuel another round of speculation as to whether the controversial schools chief will stay on or head out.

Rhee will be appearing on NBC’s Meet the Press this Sunday, though, where she will undoubtedly be asked what was said between her and Gray and what her future in the District looks like. Unless she’s planning on going out guns a-blazin’, we’re betting she won’t say much then either.
