A pair of updates on this morning’s big story, the death of a woman in Dupont Circle after a driver allegedly hit her with an SUV and drove away. The victim has been identified as Kiela Maria Ryan of Columbia, Maryland. Ryan died around 7 a.m.. this morning. Montgomery County police have made an arrest in the case, though not on any hit and run charges. Jorida Davidson, a 30-year-old from Chevy Chase, has been charged with driving under the influence after authorities found her sitting inside the black Lexus SUV they believe was involved in the incident. TBD’s Dave Jamieson reports that when D.C. and Montgomery County police traced the SUV to 4600 North Park Avenue in Chevy Chase and arrived to investigate, they found Davidson sitting behind the wheel. Davidson refused to take a Breathalyzer test and was charged with DUI. The investigation remains open and D.C. police are handling the bulk of the work at this point.
