Tonight is their “Neighborhood Kick-Off” for those who live in Glover Park and Georgetown zip codes. Bring an ID to prove you’re from the neighborhood to enjoy free Sam Adams beer and food from 6 to 7:30 p.m.. After 7:30, it’s $20 for beer and food until 10.

BOOKS: Elisabeth Soep, author of Drop That Knowledge: Youth Radio Stories, joins Executive Producer of NPR’s All Things Considered, WAMU’s News Director, the CEO of the Public Radio Exchange and former Youth Radio participants at Busboys & Poets (2021 14th Street NW) to discuss Youth Radio, an organization that draws in “under-resourced public schools and neighborhoods in order to produce media that will transform both their own lives and the world around them.” 6:30 p.m. Free.

LECTURE: Architectural historian Kimberly Prothro Williams gives the talk “The Turkish Embassy Residence: A Washington Landmark with a Rich History,” at the Turkish Embassy Ambassador’s Residence (1606 23rd Street NW) tonight.
