DANCE: Beer and Ballet from The Washington Ballet (England Studio Theater, 3515 Wisconsin Avenue NW) is a chance to see a rehearsal of Romeo and Juliet, then chat with the dancers over snacks and drinks in the ballet’s Fannie Mae Gallery. Tickets: $25.

DOGS: Dress up your pooch and hit the Paws at the Park Halloween dog costume contest at the The Park Hyatt (1201 24th Street NW). Winners will be chosen for the following categories: Most Original, Funniest, Best Couple and Celebrity Look-Alike. 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door and include two drinks.

CHARITY: Help children living with HIV/AIDS at Hope is an Art Form, the annual fundraiser for Pediatric AIDS/HIV Care, Inc.. The event at Long View Gallery (1234 9th Street NW) will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a raffle and a silent auction of 10 original pieces of youth artwork. 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person, or $125 for two.

TRIVIA: Put your thinking caps on and head to Meridian Pint (3400 11th Street NW) tonight for trivia — and, of course, the table taps. 8 p.m.
