A heads up if you are planning on boarding the Red Line shortly: according to a DCist tipster, a train has been temporarily delayed at the Rhode Island Avenue-Brentwood station due to reports of an unauthorized person on the tracks. According to our source, a train operator has told customers over the intercom that “there is unauthorized personnel on the tracks between Rhode Island Avenue and Brookland.” The rider reports being delayed for 15 minutes so far. Metro has confirmed that they have received a report of an unauthorized person on the tracks, but did not have any other information at this moment.
