Even Shadow Senator Paul Strauss had a car in the parade. And a classic one, to boot.

Most of Washington’s sports world has been enamored with John Wall’s performances on Tuesday night. And while Wall’s near-triple-double in an overtime win against the Philadelphia 76ers was pretty nifty, we found ourselves more taken with Wall’s pre-game dancing, in which he pulled off a fantastic version of the “Dougie,” despite having a bit of a bum wheel. Never one to shy away from a fan-friendly endeavor, Wizards owner Ted Leonsis wants to get in on the act. On his blog today, Leonsis said that he would perform his own version of the “Dougie” when the Wizards sellout a game this season. Paid attendance at Tuesday’s game against Philadelphia, the team’s home opener, was 17,803 — and capacity at the Verizon Center for basketball games is 20,173. Looking at the Wizards schedule, we’ll bet that Leonsis shouldn’t need to worry about his moves anytime soon — the first game that leaps out to us as a real sellout possibility is when the Lakers come to D.C. on December 14. That said, we’re very curious to see whether Leonsis’ “Dougie” is any better than our local politicians’ moves.
